What to do

Here is a small list, far from being exhaustive, of local events and the main official sites of local towns.

For rainy days or if you do not feel like going out, we have several board games, internet, and a TV offering video-on-demand services and a Spotify account to listen to music.

During the beautiful summer evenings, why not take advantage of our barbecue and relax with friends, while enjoying a good glass of cider from the Montmédy region?

The town closest to the B&B, Montmedy offers some interesting annual events.

Verdun is the “Capital” of the Nord-Meusien region and is the large local city with the most activities and events. Allow 40 minutes to get there.

The Meuse Tourism website is an excellent source of information:

Choose “All the agenda” or if you prefer to choose by region, the closest activities will be under the “What to do” section, areas “Stenay, Montmedy, Dun and surroundings” and “Verdun and surroundings”. For completely local activities, the website of the city of Montmédy will provide you with all the details:

The small Belgian town of Florenville also offers many activities :

Due to their proximity, a visit to Florenville can easily be arranged on the same day as a visit to Orval (see “things to do”). In Florenville, don’t miss to taste a pastry at Edouard’s, one of the best Belgian chocolate makers :

If you like bowling, you will find several lanes at Beau Rivage, Rue Ste Anne 1, 6767 Rouvroy, Belgium (about 15 minutes from Juvigny). Tel. +32 63 41 36 68

For friendly, impromptu and intimate concerts, we recommend The Oak Inn, in Breux (17 km from Juvigny), a small country music café that has its own recording studio (or vice versa) just after the French border not far from Orval. Music is very important at the Oak Inn. Very often, the musicians bring their instrument and improvise while sipping an English beer or a local Orval beer.

The region invites you to beautiful walks or mountain biking if you are more dynamic. The village is surrounded by forests, including the Woevre National Forest. Why not take a picnic with you? We have 2 baskets at your disposal.
